Why the Indian women do not wear SAREE to the work place or when they go out in USA? By any yard stick a women wearing a Saree with a Bindi on her face looks beautiful, decent and even sexy too. But in the entire USA not even a single Indian woman wears a Saree to work or any where else. They wear only pants and trousers. They don't know in such dresses every single Indian woman whether she is a Hindu, Muslim or Christian look horrible and disgusting. It is an admitted fact the every single American Woman loves Indian clothes because of their vivid colors, designs and patterns. If the women from South Asia especially from India start wearing Sarees and other Indian dresses to their work and when going out trust me you will see even hollywood celebrities in Sarees. HELP finding a pant like a "Farshi Pajama"..I don't know what they are called. (Indian, Paki, Muslim clothing) I am somewhat decent with my Pakistani and Indian clothing terms, but I saw a wonderful style of pant, and I need help with finding the name so I can better search for them on the net...I've only ever seen them called "bell bottoms" in stores and online. These pants were worn all the time by Puro in the Hindi movie "PINJAR" They are basically a normal pant, but at the KNEE, they bell out through the use of gathers, attatching a second piece of fabric at the knee, and the bells look exactly like a skirt. They give a wonderful flowing movement while walking. They differ from the 1960's/Vintage bell bottoms, since these "skirts" are added on to a regular trouser leg, RIGHT above the KNEE, some other styles have the gathers higher or lower, but I do not like that shape/cut. I hope someone knows what I am talking about...Do they have a specific name? Like salwar, churidars, etc....are they correctly called "Farshi Pajama"?? The illustration /description just shows them MUCH longer... Guys, what do you think about a Western girl who wears Indian clothes? I wear clothes made in India a lot of times. I don't wear saris, but sometimes I wear salwar kameez (a long shirt to the ankles, with pants under it). But mostly I just wear semi-westernized Indian clothes, like long shirts (to mid-thighs) with embroidery or sparkles on them. Is that a turn-off? Would you ask out a woman wearing such clothes? I'm sorry - salwar kameez is not to the ankles - it's to mid-shin. Sorry. I mispoke, but anyway, it's kind of like my avatar.
